Review: Coldplay 6th Album, Ghost Stories

Sumur: here

There are several reason why I feel it's so heavy to leave Mylo Xyloto behind and open my heart to start to accept Ghost Stories instead. Here's why:

1. The main theme was so gay
I put a huge respect on Mylo Xyloto for it's brave, shocking, and marvelous theme. ETIAW represents a huge, overwhelming spirits. Charlie Brown shouts about how to conquer our fair (in this case, how to be not afraid for being lesbian, --'), and Major Minus, some random people talked to me that it's reminding us that we're always being watched by illuminati.
Now take a quick peek at Ghost Stories. The main theme is totally different with the title. If ghost stories must be so terrifyingly horror, most of the song is love related.

2. The music is kinda so slow, too soothing
Yeah, love theme is implicating at the genre of the music. The music is kinda sleepy, sweet, and totally soothing.let's say: True Love, Midnight, Ocean, and All Your Friends. Wew..
I found that it's a great flop from Mylo Xyloto which is a headbanging, rocking, making me jump all around, into Ghost Stories, which is kinda of old 80's love song, which is effective as well if being used as a lullaby.

3. Ghost Stories came with inappropriate timing.
This is the greatest reason why i do fucking hate Ghost Stories. Chris Martin just divorced with his partner, why the fucking hell he chose to release a love album. it didn't make any senses! at the same time, I broke up with my partner too. It's kinda irritating. well when on the half world there in Britain Chris Martin broke up, I got the same tragedy. Honestly, I gave him too much expectation, hoped that he'd have made a broke up album, which was classified as supportive act for me. lol

Overall review, I found that Ghost Stories is huge slice of black forest cake. It's sweet, irresistible, but do you realize, it's became too sweet so you start to full of it, and considering to leave it behind?
